James Hernandez
Say it in 6: "Freedom to boundlessly serve students." James Hernandez is pursuing a doctoral degree (PhD) in Educational Psychology at Florida State University. After working as a 5th grade teacher, private tutor, middle school substitute teacher, and college advisor, James realized earning a PhD would allow him to limitlessly serve students without the limitations of "highest degree earned." He has conducted research on Culturally Responsive Classroom Management in an effort to identify practical strategies teachers could use to stop punishing students for their diversity and instead celebrate those students because of their diversity. His career aspiration is to build Lifespan Development Centers dedicated to providing an individualized, real-time, research-informed educational experience.
