Introduction and Author perspectives to Instructor's Manual: Career Development & Services: A cognitive approach by Peterson, Sampson, and Reardon. Interviews of Peterson, Sampson and Reardon. In order to more fully explore the unique perspectives of each of the authors of Career Development and Services: A Cognitive Approach, the Instructor's Manual, the senior author conducted a series of interviews with them. The information from these interviews provides additional background into the process the authors used in developing this application of cognitive information processing theory to career development and services that was to take shape ultimately in the form of the current text Career development and Services: A Cognitive Approach. Our intent in sharing these unique, personal accounts is to give instructors who are using the text additional insight and perspective into how the individual histories of all the persons involved in this effort ultimately shaped the outcome.
