_Sunonoma_ is a poetry collection that attempts to chronicle the poet's spiritual awakening and to illuminate how awakening is a means by which the individual realizes they are one with all existing entities. The project incorporates an audio component to emphasize the possibility of a simultaneous singular and universal existence; the poet's _unique_ and _distinct_ voice _unites_ her and her audience in an act of reading _together_. Sunonoma’s speaker navigates this singular/universal paradox and other dilemmas in what proves to be both a search without and a journey within. The entire collection is full of unfiltered anecdotes that capture the poet's youthful personality but remains a credible academic thesis rooted in serious subjects.
