FSU Florence Program Safety Guide 2021-22

Florida State University is highly esteemed in Italy and has developed a respectful and collaborative relationship with Florence and Florentines. The program has been officially recognized by Italian governmental agencies, charities, local businesses, Fine Arts authorities, and the U.S. Consulate General for its excellence and community outreach. As a result, students need to keep in mind that although they are American citizens, they are subject to the laws of the nation in which they study and reside. This guide was conceived to provide study abroad students with some commonsense tips regarding safety, and outline FSU Florence Program’s policies and aspects of Italian law. This guide is only one of many steps the FSU Florence Program takes to ensure students’ stay in Italy is a safe and pleasant one. All information is updated annually and produced in accordance with the Federal Jeanne Clery Act of 1990.
