Dunwoody Mirvil
Say It In 6: "Favored, Open-Minded, Tenacious, Inspired, Persistent, Resilient." Dr. Dunwoody Mirvil, an active trombonist, completed a DM in Brass Performance Spring 2018. Dunwoody has been playing trombone for nearly twenty years, and has travelled all over the world, playing to audiences in places like Tokyo, New York City, and Los Angeles. He currently plays in the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra and with the cabaret cover band, Tallahassee Nights Live. Dunwoody plays across musical genres like jazz, R&B, gospel, and calypso. he is a Performing Artist for Conn-Selmer, Inc. and endorsed by Giddings Mouthpieces. Dunwoody is a McKnight Doctoral Fellowship recipient and currently teaches Low Brass at Southeastern University where he is an Assistant Professor.
