This collection holds newspaper issues from various titles over a period from the 17th century into the 20th century. The majority of the collection is focused on newspapers from the American southeast. Several different physical collections contribute to this digital collection. Those collections and their finding aids can be explored in more detail in the FSU Finding Aid database. The materials were digitized in 2015 and project documentation is available upon request.
Some of the collection's materials were digitized from microfilm by staff at Tallahassee City Hall and the digital copies provided to FSU to provide access via the digital library.
