Lou Whitfield Miller sends Elmer Davis a typed letter inquiring about Davis' choice in using Florida as a setting for his story "White Pants Willie," in order to gather information for her master's degree research. Elmer Davis responds directly onto the letter in pen where he describes a story he wrote based in Florida but forgets the title. He also notes that he wrote "White Pants Willie" while in Palm Beach and therefore used Florida as his setting for the story.
