Lataisia Jones
"Say it in 6: ""Train yourself to be the best."" Lataisia Jones earned a doctoral degree (PhD) in Biomedical Sciences at Florida State University. Her research focus is on neuro-psychiatric and developmental disorders that affects kids. Lataisia places an emphasis on her research because it increases what is known regarding childhood health disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorders; further improving diagnosis and treatment. She aspires to use her S.T.E.M. background within a policy position that will allow her to create and improve education and outreach opportunities for the future leaders of science. Lataisia Jones is the first African-American woman to earn a PhD in Biomedical Sciences at FSU."
