Bryan Keller
Say it in 6: "Informed decisions, well-rounded leaders, advancing science." Bryan Keller is pursuing a PhD in biological oceanography at Florida State University. He first became interested in oceanography through research related to spatial ecology, social behavior, and fisheries science. He was able to conduct his own research on the spatiotemporal ecology of the bonnethead shark, which he hopes will allow conservation efforts to be put in place to protect bonnetheads from shrimp trawlers, subsequently resulting in healthier shark populations. In the future, Bryan hopes to become a professor where he can continue researching vulnerable and exploited marine and estuarine fishes.
