Benjamin Lougheed
Say It In 6: "Learn how to change a culture." Dr. Benjamin Lougheed, a classical guitarist, completed a PhD in String Performance Spring 2019. Benjamin chose FSU for his graduate degree because it has one of the best guitar programs and teachers in the world. He knew coming to FSU would help him progress tremendously as a musician. Ben has been playing the guitar since he was six years old. “Extremely precise” and “music of dramatic power and lyric beauty” best describe his performances. His passion for the guitar goes far beyond performing; he has taught over 100 students of all ages and levels (4-88).
