Note(s): "Empty Pomacea shells mark a feeding snag of the Everglade kite. After emptying the shell the kite drops it. Feeding sites of the kite throughout the area where the kite lives are recognizable by the heap of empty snail shells." This photograph was used in an article that Mary Lou Norwood wrote for publication.
