Abstract/Description: This quality improvement project is designed to increase knowledge in the older adult population of the differences between Emergency Rooms and Urgent Care Facilities and the services they provide so that they can make informed decisions regarding which facility is best suited for their healthcare needs. As the numbers of ERs increase, educating older adults on these differences and reducing inappropriate ER use will help minimize overcrowding in ERs and reduce costs associated with wasted resources, improve patient satisfaction and improve outcomes.
