The photos in this collection surround the activities of the male students who lived in barracks building 849 on the FSU West Campus at the former Dale Mabry field. The men, who referred to themselves as the "849ers," bonded together in a pseudo-fraternity they called Theta Delta Iota. The persons identified in these photos include Herman Bekemyer ('52), Fred Darkow ('52), Johnnie Fortune ('51), Tom Hobbs ('51), Ray Horton ('51), Herbert Lynwood Jinks ('52), Iva Kay ('52), Frank Leone ('51), A. Glenn Moore ('52), Roger Sellers ('52), and Ray Senn.
